Officers try to solve pair of holdups at west-side bar

7/10/2004

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about two robberies in two days at a West Toledo bar that police believe are unrelated.

Two people hid inside Fudgie's Bar, 4031 Monroe St., after the bar closed about 2:10 a.m. Thursday. While an employee was counting money, a black male jumped over the bar, confronted the employee, and fled with the cash, police said.

The man is known as Todd and is about 36 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and 180 pounds. He was with a black female named Tabitha, who was described as short and heavy, police said.

About 1:10 a.m. yesterday, an unknown black man entered the bar through the front door, pointed a dark-colored handgun at an employee, and fled with cash. He was described as 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and about 200 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
