Man in dress, sunglasses, wig robs southside bank

A man carrying a handgun and wearing a blue dress robbed a Sky Bank branch in South Toledo of an undisclosed amount of cash yesterday, authorities said.

The man entered the branch, 4700 Heatherdowns Blvd., about 4 p.m., leaped over the tellers' counter, and took money from a cash drawer. He jumped back over the counter and fled on foot. No shots were fired, and no one was hurt, the FBI said.

The man was black, in his late 20s or early 30s, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and of slight build. In addition to the dress, he wore a dark wig, sunglasses, athletic shoes, and gray sweat pants.
