Leads sought on 5-time robber

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a man who investigators believe robbed five businesses Sept. 25-27.

The robber entered the businesses, four of them gas stations, after customers left. He pulled out a handgun and demanded money before running off.

On Sept. 25, the man robbed two BP stations - one at 324 South Detroit Ave. at 6:20 a.m., the other at 1270 South Reynolds Rd. about 4:40 p.m. The next day, the robber hit the BP at 2 North Reynolds at 4 p.m. and the Sunoco at 4458 Monroe St. more than five hours later. Bahama Ron Tanning Salon, 3344 Secor Rd., was robbed about 4 p.m. Sept. 27, police said.

The robber was described as black, in his 30s, 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
