Toledo police continued to investigate yesterday an incident in which a 47-year-old man was hit in the face with what they believed may be a paint ball while jogging in the 3800 block of Heatherdowns Boulevard on New Year s Day.

Jerald Jagos of 2152 Heatherlawn Drive told police he was jogging west on Heatherdowns about 3:30 p.m. when he felt something hit his right eye. Officers found Mr. Jagos lying in a driveway at 3817 Heatherdowns after responding to a call of a person shot.

Mr. Jagos told police he did not know where the shot came from. Police said he had green paint on his gloves where he covered his right eye after being hit. Authorities said there was no evidence found at the scene.

Police said Mr. Jagos was treated at Medical College of Ohio Hospitals.
