A Toledo man accused of stabbing his estranged wife in a domestic violence incident last week was indicted yesterday on attempted murder and felonious assault charges.

Gaylor Coleman, 39, of 1501 Wayne St., Apt. B-1, was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury for the attack on Connie Johnson about 12:15 p.m. Jan. 15 in her home at 3425 Nebraska Ave.

Mr. Coleman is being held without bond in the Lucas County jail.

Prosecutors said that when Ms. Johnson, 43, told her husband she was filing for divorce, he began stabbing and slashing her with a box cutter.

She was treated at Medical College of Ohio Hospitals for wounds to her hands and body.
