CLYDE, Ohio - Sandusky County sheriff's deputies are investigating an armed robbery at a carryout just east of Clyde.

A clerk at the South Ridge Market, U.S. 20 and County Road 175, told deputies that a man entered the store shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday carrying an aluminum baseball bat, followed a short time later by a woman carrying what appeared to be a chrome-colored semi-automatic pistol.

The man demanded money, and the clerk gave him $233 from the store's two cash registers, the sheriff's department said. The pair ran out of the store, and a two-hour manhunt by sheriff's deputies and Clyde and Woodville police failed to find them.

The man was described as in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, with a blond mustache, and wearing a dark ski mask, dark hooded sweatshirt, and jeans. The woman was wearing a light blue coat and a tan scarf around her face.
