Police need information on assault

5/21/2005

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about an assault early yesterday in which a South Toledo man was struck several times with a sharp blade attached to a stick.

Christopher Carter, 19, is being treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, but his condition was unavailable last night. Police said he was hit three times in the back of the leg, twice in the torso, and once in the back during the 2:30 a.m. fight in the parking lot of the Oliver House, 27 Broadway.

Two suspects are described as white, about 25 years old, 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, very short hair and multiple face piercings and neck tattoos. One of the suspects had Chinese tattoos on his neck. The other suspect may have a broken jaw or missing teeth from the altercation. They fled in an older, brown GMC van and a green Intrepid, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stopper. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
