A part-time circulation worker for The Blade was punched and robbed yesterday when he was putting newspapers into a curbside box.
Rodger Fausey, 57, was approached by a man on a bicycle about 4:10 a.m. in the 1700 block of Broadway.
The assailant asked him if he had any spare change. The man left after Mr. Fausey gave him four quarters, police said.
The suspect returned about a minute later, punched Mr. Fausey twice on the face, and took his wallet before running down an alley, police said.
Mr. Fausey dialed 911 from a fast-food restaurant and was treated by firefighters for a cut lip. He said he would seek private medical attention.
