Carryout owner accused of selling drugs is in jail

A Springfield Township carryout owner accused of selling prescription drugs and cocaine out of his store was bound over to the Lucas County grand jury on drug-related charges after a hearing yesterday in Sylvania Municipal Court.

Guirguis George Ragheb, 34, is being held in the county jail for 32 drug offenses, including aggravated trafficking, trafficking, and possession of drugs. Judge M. Scott Ramey set a $100,000 bond.

The charges stem from undercover buys at the store during a yearlong investigation and prescription drugs and cocaine seized during a search of the business, authorities said.

Mr. Ragheb was arrested Friday in front of the store in the McCord Marketplace, North McCord and Dorr Street. The bust included the seizure of nearly $53,000 and a handgun from the store and two handguns and 10 long guns from Mr. Ragheb s Fulton County home.
