At least two Toledoans have been contacted in a phone scam by a caller seeking credit card and banking data, police said.
Monday night, a resident said a caller impersonating an electric company official threatened account cancellation unless a credit card number was provided to pay a delinquent bill.
Last week, a caller asked for banking information from a resident he claimed had written a bad check.
Toledo police said residents should not give out financial information over the phone.
