FREMONT A Fremont man accused of firing a shotgun into his brother s face after a dispute that erupted while the two men were moving furniture was being held without bond yesterday in the Sandusky County jail, police said.

Ular Davis, 52, was charged with attempted murder after he went inside a house on Liberty Street about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, grabbed a 16-gauge shotgun, and fired at Lamar Lee, 43, of Fremont, who was struck in the face and head with the pellets, police said.

Mr. Davis and another brother, Darrin Lee, drove their wounded brother to Fremont Memorial Hospital. He later was flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.

The men were loading furniture from the home when Lamar Lee apparently dropped part of a bed on the driveway, sparking the argument, police said. Mr. Davis told police he got the gun from the house to place it in the truck, but he tripped and the shotgun discharged.
