A burglary suspect accused of injuring a Toledo police sergeant who was trying to arrest him was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Michael Woodruff, 37, of 1160 Oak St. was indicted on felony charges of breaking and entering, burglary, and felonious assault. The assault charge stems from an altercation between Mr. Woodruff and Sgt. John Paskowski, who suffered broken bones in one of his hands.

Officers were attempting to arrest Mr. Woodruff on Feb. 28 after responding to the 600 block of Church Street on two burglaries reports. He escaped, but officers soon caught up with him.
