A 32-year-old Toledo man was arrested late Tuesday after police said he claimed to be a federal agent, summoning Toledo police to the Reynolds Road-Nebraska Avenue area on a false report of an injured officer.

Jesse Solly of 6140 Judge Drive, who was charged with felony inducing panic, was being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $7,500 bond set yesterday during his arraignment in Toledo Municipal Court. Mr. Solly received recognizance bonds for misdemeanor charges ranging from impersonating certain officers, false and unlawful disclosure of information, drug abuse, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police accused Mr. Solly of calling 911 and falsely identifying himself as a federal agent. Authorities said he told dispatchers an officer was down and he needed assistance with a suspect in a wooded area behind a bar at Reynolds and Nebraska. Several Toledo police units responded. Mr. Solly was arrested a short time later.
