A Toledo man was shot in the neck during a disturbance in the 2400 block of Maplewood Avenue early yesterday, Toledo police said.

Police officers found Roy Caster, Jr. in the backseat of a vehicle on Maplewood with a possible gunshot wound to his shoulder and the back of his neck. Officers responded to the area about 1:20 a.m. on a call of a fight and then a report of a person shot.

The Toledo Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Mr. Caster, whose age was not given, to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, police said. The hospital said it did not have a patient by that name.
