Woman arrested in Hancock County in connection with death of mother
6/28/2007FINDLAY A 75-year-old woman was pronounced dead early this morning at Blanchard Valley Hospital after Hancock County sheriff s deputies found her at a residence in the 15000 block of the county s Cass Township Road, authorities said.
The woman s 37-year-old daughter was found at the scene severely injured and taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. She has been placed under arrest and remains in custody. Sheriff s deputies have not released additional information about the charges.
A third woman found at the residence was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, sheriff s deputies said.
Winifred Brown, 75, was found by sheriff s deputies at 15234 Cass Township Road shortly after 2:36 a.m. when they received a call on an attempted suicide at that address, deputies said.
Ms. Brown s daughter was identified as Linda Brown, 37. Her condition was unavailable this morning.
The third woman found at the scene was Jill Darnell, 49, who deputies said is another victim in the incident. She lived at the residence and was a friend of Linda Brown. Her condition was not released.
