Police identify shooting victim, arrest suspect

Toledo police have identified the 37-year-old man shot in the abdomen in East Toledo last night in what they called "a neighborhood feud that erupted in gunfire" as Brian Thebeau.

Mr. Thebeau was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, police said. A hospital spokesman said this morning that she did not have his condition listed yet.

The shooting occurred about 9:25 p.m. at 367 Parker Ave. Officers said the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the residents at 363 Parker and those next door, on property Lucas County land records identify as being at 1105 Starr Ave.

The alleged gunman, Marcos Elizondo, 53, was arrested and charged with felonious assault, officers said. He is being kept at the Lucas County jail pending arraignment later this morning at Toledo Municipal Court.

An unidentified man was shot in the abdomen last night in what police described as "a neighborhood feud that erupted in gunfire" in an alley between two East Toledo houses.

One person was arrested in the 9:30 p.m. incident next to 363 Parker Ave., but police said they were still looking for the weapon, thought to be a handgun. Police said the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the residents at 363 Parker and those next door, on property Lucas County land records identify as being at 1105 Starr Ave.

The victim was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Police said they did not consider the wound life-threatening.
