Bomb threat at Whirlpool investigated
10/18/2007FINDLAY Hancock County Sheriff s Office is investigating a bomb threat that occurred Wednesday night at a Whirlpool Corp. facility just north of this north Hancock County city, authorities said.
Someone called Whirlpool on the phone about 11:20 p.m. and indicated that there was a bomb threat at its facility at 4901 North Main St. in Allen Township, according to the Hancock County Sheriff s Office.
A short time later, area law enforcement agents searched the facility. No bomb was found. The incident remains under investigation, sheriff s deputies said.
Findlay is about 40 miles south of Toledo.
