Bomb hoax clears Tiffin Middle School

TIFFIN Tiffin Middle School was evacuated Monday morning when an anonymous person called school officials and told them there was a bomb in the building, Tiffin police said.

The call came in at 7:16 a.m. All students and staff were temporarily moved to the Tiffin High School just up the street, Tiffin Police Chief David LaGrange said.

The school was searched and no bomb was found. Two hours later officials were reviewing security tapes as a precautionary measure, Chief LaGrange said.

Classes at the middle school were not cancelled. Classes at the middle school resumed shortly after 9 a.m., Don Coletta, Tiffin City Schools superintendent, said.
