Firefighters fight blaze near central Toledo

Fire crews were fighting a house fire early Monday at 909 North Westwood Ave. near Nebraska Avenue near central Toledo, authorities said. Westwood is still closed near the fire scene.

There were no early reports of injuries.

Fire crews arrived about 6:05 a.m. and saw heavy flames coming from the two-story building. An hour later, they were still fighting the fire, a Toledo fire dispatcher said.

The Lucas County Auditor s Web site lists the owner of the house as Mehdi I. Ismail.
