A Toledo man was shot and another was hurt Monday night in the Big Shots bar at 931 West Central Ave. near Albion Street in central Toledo, authorities said.

Ray Perkins suffered apparent gunshot wounds to his hand and thigh and was admitted to Toledo Hospital, Toledo police said.

The second man, Michael Gray was admitted to the hospital with head wounds, officers said.

A hospital supervisor said Tuesday morning that she had no information about people by those names. There were no arrests in the case as of that time, police said.

Police arrived at the bar about 11:30 p.m. and found Mr. Gray bleeding from his head, officers said.

Witnesses told officers that Mr. Gray had been armed with a handgun. Officers then searched for but failed to find a gun, police said.

A short time later, officers learned that Mr. Perkins had just come into the Toledo Hospital emergency room with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his hand and thigh, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the two men were in a confrontation in the bar s rest room, where blood, clothes, and spent bullets were later found, police said. Officers did not say what caused the confrontation.

The incident remains under investigation.
