LIMA, Ohio - A Fort Recovery, Ohio, man was being held in the Allen County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond after he was arrested for carrying illegal narcotics onto the grounds of the Allen Correctional Institution, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Walter J. Call II, 47, who was charged with conveying drugs into a correctional facility, was arraigned Friday in Lima Municipal Court. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction investigators received information that a person planned to deliver drugs onto the prison grounds.

Troopers set up surveillance Thursday and saw the suspect leave the drugs at the facility, the patrol said. They seized methamphetamines, marijuana, OxyContin tablets, weight-lifting supplements, and cell phones.
