Man in a Tigers cap robs bank in Springfield Township

Hours before the team s season opener yesterday, a man wearing a Detroit Tigers ball cap robbed a bank in Springfield Township, authorities said.

The man walked into the Charter One branch, 1560 South Holland-Sylvania Rd., about noon and handed the teller a note demanding money. He left with an undisclosed amount, the FBI in Cleveland said.

The robber is white, between 40 and 50 years old, and about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and was wearing a long-sleeved denim shirt and the ball cap, the FBI said.
