A 30-year-old woman was grabbed from behind yesterday by a man who placed a knife to her throat and cut her on her arm, hand, chest, and abdomen after she left a central Toledo bar, police said.

Christina Cole had left the Delux Inn, 704 West Sylvania Ave., about 1 a.m. when she was grabbed by her hair, police said.

She tried to get away, but was pinned against a fence in the 4100 block of Vermaas Avenue and cut, police said.

Cole then ran to 4244 Asbury Drive, where the homeowner called 911. Cole was released yesterday from Toledo Hospital.
