MARBLEHEAD, Ohio - A blaze of undetermined origin damaged four unoccupied boats late Monday and early yesterday in Bay Point Marina on Lake Erie, authorities said.

There were no reports of injuries.

The fire that had started on one of the boats was reported about 11:15 p.m. Area fire crews left the scene shortly after 3 a.m., according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.

At least two of the boats were a total loss, and several others nearby had minor smoke damage, Marblehead Fire Chief Doug Waugh said.

Although the fire is not considered suspicious, the cause remains under investigation, Chief Waugh said.
