The suspect in armed robberies of three South Toledo businesses sought by Toledo police apparently struck again Saturday morning, authorities said.

"It must be the man," said Toledo police Sgt. Phil Toney.

The suspect reportedly used a handgun to rob the Kwik Trip carryout at 4230 Airport Hwy. at about 11:10 a.m.

The man entered the store, showed a handgun to the store clerk, and ordered him to hand over the money. Once the clerk complied, the man put the cash in a paper bag and left. He was last seen walking west toward Wenz Road, police said.

Sergeant Toney said police believe the same man also robbed the following businesses, all during daylight hours:

• Dollar General, 4250 Airport Hwy., on Aug. 27.

• Dollar General, 2857 Airport Hwy., on Sept. 2.

• Star Beauty Supply, 48 South Byrne Rd., on Tuesday.

The man was described as black, in his late 20s, and about 6 feet and 3 inches tall. He wore a do-rag and had a handgun in each incident.

In the Saturday robbery, the suspect was wearing gray sweat pants, a green bandana, and a black T-shirt. His handgun and do-rag were black.

Police officers later viewed a video from the store security camera and recognized the man they had seen on videos from security cameras in the other two Airport Highway robberies, they said.

The man was still at large as of Saturday afternoon, police said.
