Northwood teacher among 8 arrested in prostitution sting

Toledo Police arrested eight men as part of a reverse prostitution sting operation, including a full-time teacher in Northwood Local Schools.

The Prostitution Task Force of the vice/narcotics unit initiated the sting, in which a female officer impersonated a prostitute and solicited men through an online advertisement.

Among those arrested Wednesday was Brad Morrison, 41, who is a gym teacher at Northwood High School, police confirmed. He was charged with soliciting, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Mr. Morrison has been with Northwood Local Schools since 1993 and makes a salary of $64,807.

Also arrested and charged with misdemeanor soliciting were Paul Tomanicek, 26; Thomas Logan, 43; Richard Hill, 47; Chris Campbell, 45; and Edward Ellis, 59. 

Police also arrested Tyler Price, 18, who was charged with felony aggravated possession of drugs, possession of marijuana, felony promoting prostitution, and resisting arrest. Johnathan McNeal, 25, was arrested with felony promoting prostitution and misdemeanor soliciting.
