WAUSEON — A train fatally struck an Ann Arbor youth on the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks west of Toledo at noon Tuesday, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Seth Harsch, 17, was “standing on the tracks” when he was struck by an eastbound Norfolk Southern train, according to the sheriff’s office.

The rail line through Fulton County was closed nearly two hours during the investigation, said Rudy Husband, spokesman for Norfolk Southern. The sheriff’s office is investigating the incident. It occurred near the County Road 11 crossing, between Delta and Wauseon.
