Toledo police investigating five overnight shootings

Toledo police were busy Saturday night and Sunday morning, responding to five separate shooting incidents, four of which were in the central city and one in North Toledo.

The first occurred at 10:13 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Austin Street when Sur-Jon Jacobs, 21, was shot. He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where a hospital spokesman said he had been discharged.

The next call was just half an hour later at 10:47 p.m. in the 600 block of Ranch Drive where four people were shot, police said. Taken to Toledo Hospital were Eric Mays, 22; Garrett Stefan, 23; and P’air Jones, 16l. Their conditions were immediately unavailable. Simon Hill, 26, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition Sunday afternoon.

At 12:20 a.m., Antoine Johnson, 22, was shot at Woodstock Avenue and Midway Plaisance Street. He was taken to Toledo Hospital; his condition is unknown.

At 12:45 a.m. in the 1700 block of Hamilton Avenue, Anthony Adams, 29, was shot by a known gunman, police said. To which hospital he was taken and his condition are unknown.

At 4:22 a.m. at West Bancroft Avenue and Sylvan Avenue, Sean Johnson, 21, was shot by an unknown gunman, police said. He was taken to St. Vincent’s where he is listed in stable condition.

Police are investigating the shootings.
