Ohio Highway Patrol troopers Wednesday were seeking a hit-skip driver of a red pickup involved in a three-vehicle crash in Sylvania Township that sent five people to area hospitals the night before.

Joanne Phillips, 60, of Toledo, one of the drivers, was taken to Toledo Hospital with serious injuries.

John Clark, 18, of Toledo, another driver, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from his vehicle. He was taken to Toledo Hospital with serious injuries.

Marcus Clark, 19, his passenger who is also of Toledo, was taken to Flower Hospital, also with serious injuries.

The crash occurred about 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in Sylvania Township at Central Avenue and Redington Woods Roadsouth of Wildwood Preserve.

The Clark vehicle and the pickup were driving west on Central when they sideswiped, causing the former to swerve left of center and strike the Phillips vehicle.

The truck did not stop and was last seen eastbound on Central, troopers said.

Jameson Carey, 5, of Toledo and Joseph Grossman, 9, also of Toledo, who were passengers in the Phillips vehicle, were taken to Toledo Hospital with minor injuries.
