East Toledo man shot by burglar

A man was shot late Sunday in his East Toledo home by a burglar who fled, authorities said.

Frank Gacsal, the victim, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, according to Toledo police. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

The shooting occurred about 10:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of Colorado Street, police said.

The incident remained under investigation.
