Police search for suspect in Monroe gas station robbery

MONROE — Investigators are asking for help in identifying the man who they say robbed a gas station Wednesday morning.

Police describe the suspect as a black man dressed in all black. He entered the Admiral Gas Station store, 747 South Telegraph Rd., about 6:06 a.m. as an employee was getting ready to open the store.

The man assaulted the employee and demanded money. With an undetermined amount of cash, the man fled on foot.
