TPD investigate arson fire
10/5/2011Authorities yesterday were investigating an arson fire that damaged a vacant home in north Toledo.
Someone set the house at 1209 East Bancroft St. on fire about 11:36 p.m. Monday, Toledo police are saying. The exact cause of the fire was under investigation.
The fire at the single-story wood frame house was brought under control at 11:42 p.m., according to the Toledo fire department.
The Lucas County Auditor’s Web site lists Edward Johnson as the owner of the single-family house, which was built in 1917. A damage estimate was unavailable.
