Leipsic man crashes into pole in Putnam Co.

OTTAWA, Ohio — A driver and his two passengers are listed in fair condition at St. Rita’s Medical Center Sunday afternoon after the 31-year-old Leipsic man drove into a stop light pole in Ottawa.

John Stevens was driving south on State Rt. 65 at U.S. 224 in Putnam County when his vehicle collided with the pole at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday, according to the Ottawa police department.

Mr. Stevens and his passengers Carissa Vogt, 29, of Ottawa, and Mariah Eitemiller, 21, of Fort Jennings were transported to the Lima hospital.

Ottawa police are continuing to investigate; no additional details were available.
