Sobriety checkpoint set in Springfield Township

Lucas County sheriff's deputies will set up a sobriety checkpoint Saturday in Springfield Township to combat drunken driving.

The checkpoint will be from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Garden Road east of Holloway Road, said Deputy Mark Woodruff, coordinator of the Lucas County DUI Task Force. The checkpoint is being paid for with a federal grant.
