For the second time in a little more than two weeks, a West Toledo dollar store has been robbed.

According to a police report, about 10 p.m. Wednesday, a man with a white T-shirt pulled over his face walked into Family Dollar, 1135 W. Sylvania Ave., and reportedly said, "This is a robbery, be cool."

The suspect reportedly opened, and took cash from, multiple registers, and then, using a large screwdriver, attempted to pry open a lock box. The suspect demanded a store employee to open a safe, from which he took more cash.

Before leaving the store, the suspect asked the clerk for a carton of cigarettes, which he got. He then told the employee to, "wait a few minutes before you call police."

According to the police report, the suspect is described as black, in his 20s, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue denim shorts, and had multiple tattoos on his arms and neck, and possibly tear drop tattoos near his eyes.

On June 25, the same store was robbed at 9:52 p.m. by an armed man demanding cash. He fled with about $1,400.

That robber was described in a separate police report as black, in his mid 20s, 6 feet tall, and 200 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
