Officials seek tips on 2 unsolved slayings

Toledo police are seeking information on two of the city's unsolved homicides.

Fannie Mae Smith, 81, the first homicide victim of this year, was shot at least three times while watching television inside her Fulton Street home on Jan. 3.

She was shot about 12:46 a.m. at 2264 Fulton in the central city.

Raul Izquierdo, 36, was shot and killed in the 300 block of Langdon Street on April 14.

The victim was found at 11:54 p.m. along the street in South Toledo with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Mr. Izquierdo's brother Santiago Izquierdo Jr., 27, also was shot but survived.

Anyone with information on either homicide is asked to call the Crime Stoppers program.
