PORTAGE, Ohio — A Wayne, Ohio, woman was seriously injured authorities said, when her vehicle struck the back of a concrete truck today on State Route 281 just west of Bloomdale Road in Wood County’s Portage Township.

Stuart J. Graham, 46, of Helena, Ohio, was driving an Oshkosh Concrete truck westbound on the SR 281 about 1 p.m. when he came to a stop in the roadway, according to release from the Ohio Highway Patrol. Wayne resident Alisa D. Camden, 21, was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon behind the truck, and failed to stop before colliding with the truck’s rear tire dolly, authorities said.

Ms. Camden was trapped in the vehicle and needed to be extricated by Wood County Central-Joint Fire Department. She was transported by air medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. A hospital spokesman confirmed she was at the hospital, but said tonight that her condition has not yet been established.

Mr. Graham was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, the release said. It’s unknown whether Ms. Camden was wearing a sea tbelt at the time.

Alcohol and drug use are not suspected in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Both lanes of State Route 281 were closed for about two hours after the incident but have since reopened, officials said.
