A grocery store near the University of Toledo was robbed Tuesday night by a man who claimed to have a knife in his pants.

A clerk from Schorlings Five Star grocery, 3115 W. Bancroft St., told police that a man came into the store at 8:40 p.m. and demanded cash.

He reportedly told the clerk, “I don’t want to stab nobody. I don’t want to hurt nobody,” according to a police report.

The man grabbed an undetermined amount of cash from registers and fled on foot to a car parked in the 2100 block of Brookdale Drive.

The man is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches, 220 pounds, with black hair. He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a white T-shirt, orange reflector vest, black shorts, and black boots.
