Toledo man charged in safe-cracking

A Toledo man is being held in the Lucas County jail for allegedly trying to pry open ATMs at two east side banks.

Raymond Marsh, 29, of 517 Whittemore St., is charged with two counts of safe-cracking and one count of possession of criminal tools. During an arraignment in Toledo Municipal Court on thistues morning, his bond was set at $30,000.

Police allege that a man, today at about 1:40 a.m., used a crowbar in attempting to pry open safes, one at Charter One Bank, 602 Main St., and another at Key Bank, 324 Main St., according to court records.

Mr. Marsh is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on July 31.
