TEMPERANCE -- The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the robbery of Citizens Bank, 7548 Lewis Ave. in Bedford Township, where two men demanded money from employees.

The robbers, who said they had weapons but did not brandish any, forcibly moved the tellers around the bank as they took an undisclosed amount of money in the 11 a.m. Wednesday holdup, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

Both men fled south on Lewis in a gold-colored Buick Century, which was reported stolen from Toledo. The car was recovered about 200 yards from the bank near Sterns Road.

Officials said both men wore masks. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Heath Velliquette at 734-224-7316.
