Two people were wounded Saturday in central Toledo in a drive-by shooting, Toledo police said.
Alton Reid, 19, and a 17-year-old male were shot about 5:30 p.m. as they stood in a yard in the 900 block of Norwood Avenue, Sgt. Joe Heffernan said.
Mr. Reid was shot in the foot, and the 17-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was shot in the thigh. Police said neither injury was considered life-threatening. They were taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. A hospital spokesman said there was no information about a person by Mr. Reid's name.
Police late Saturday were working to establish a description of the vehicle and its occupants.
Officers initially were told that a red Ford Explorer was seen driving away, but it was unclear whether that was the vehicle involved, Sergeant Heffernan said.
