MONROE -- Bond was set at $75,000 each for two women accused of robbing a Monroe Township convenience store, authorities said Friday.

Angela Anthony, 32, and Loralei Longan, 26, were arraigned Thursday in First District Court of Monroe by Judge Mark Braunlich.

Charged with armed robbery, each was ordered held in Monroe County jail in lieu of the bonds pending preliminary hearings Aug. 29, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office reported.

The robbery at the Stop and Run store, 2062 S. Custer Rd., occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when a masked woman pulled a handgun and demanded money from the cashier, deputies said.

Money in hand, the suspect fled the store, tucking the gun into her waistband.

Searchers called in an aviation unit and arrested the pair; the suspects' vehicle also was found and evidence recovered, deputies said.
