A Toledo man charged with involuntary manslaughter was ordered today to be held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $550,000 bond.

Charles McCuin, 20, of 4130 Isadore Ln., is also charged with tampering with evidence in the same case.

Police allege in Toledo Municipal Court documents that the suspect shot Lasean Robinson, Jr., 29, who was found naked and face down in a North Toledo field on June 10.

The police investigation determined that Robinson was last seen alive at a West Toledo motorcycle club about six hours before his body was found.

Police said he was shot in the head and was then dumped in the field.

In court documents, police wrote that the suspect allegedly “did admit” to accidentally shooting Robinson with a gun the suspect purchased “on the street.”

The tampering charge was filed against Mr. McCuin in June, three days after Robinson’s body was found.

A document filed in court alleges the suspect removed, concealed, and disposed of evidence from a homicide investigation.

Mr. McCuin is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 4.
