LYONS, Ohio — An Adrian man died today in a two-car collision at the intersection of U.S. 20 and Ohio 109 in Royalton Township.

Glen W. Robinson, 86, of Adrian, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 11:28 a.m., according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Troopers say Mr. Robinson was driving a 2007 Buick LaCrosse south on route 109, when he failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven westbound on U.S. 20 by Ronald Harris Jr. 38, of Fayette, Ohio.

Mr. Harris’ vehicle struck the driver’s side of Mr. Robinson’s vehicle, sending both vehicles off the south side of U.S. 20.

Mr. Harris’s vehicle overturned and struck a utility pole. Mr. Harris sustained minor injuries and was not transported from the scene.

Both men were wearing seat belts at the time, troopers said.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Fulton County Sherriff’s office, Delta ALS-2, and the Lyons Fire Department and EMS.
