Train clips car; no one injured
Holland-Sylvania Road has reopened after being blocked for about an hour by a train that made an emergency stop after clipping the rear of an automobile at a railroad crossing between Angola Road and Airport Highway.
Toledo police said they believed the car’s driver escaped uninjured after the collision, which occurred at about 5:20 p.m. The car ended up on the north side of the tracks, clear of the train, a witness said.
Eastbound Angola was temporarily closed east of Holland-Sylvania after a gawker looking at the train accident rear-ended another car, that witness said.
