Tips sought in slaying of man in August

Toledo police are seeking information in the Aug. 19 shooting death of Saveon Childress.

Childress, 27, was shot multiple times as he and his twin brother, Jowan, were walking on Prospect Street, near Hoag Street, just after 10 p.m. Police have said the two men were approached by two men on bicycles.

Childress was pronounced dead at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

In a Toledo police report, the suspects are both described as black, 16 to 20 years old, about 5 feet, 8 inches, and 170 pounds.
