Toledo police have filed charges against a man who allegedly pushed a woman in front of a car who was then run over early Saturday.

Germane Pryor, 22, of 1952 Freeman Ave., is charged in Toledo Municipal Court with one count of felonious assault. He has not been arrested.

Linda Tilman, 26, of Sylvania, was taken after the 3:11 a.m. incident to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital. Her condition was not immediately available.

Ms. Tilman was outside of a bar, 3122 Airport Hwy., when the suspect was allegedly fighting with the victim and several of her friends, according to a Toledo police report and court documents. The victim reportedly tried to stop the suspect from hitting another person, when the suspect allegedly pushed the woman.

Ms. Tilman was struck by a 2002 silver Sebring, traveling between 35 and 40 mph; the driver told police he did not see the woman. Court documents state that the victim was "thrown into the air" and landed on her head about 30 feet away.

The victim's injuries, in court documents, are described as "life threatening."

The suspect then fled across Airport Highway toward the Byrneport Apartments.
