A South Toledo 7-Eleven was robbed by a gunman over the weekend, police said.
Police reported that a man went into the store, 1101 Western Ave., at about 5:11 a.m. Saturday while the clerk was in a back room. The suspect jumped the counter and, when the clerk came into the main area of the store, the suspect pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash from multiple registers.
After getting the cash, the suspect jumped the counter to leave, but turned back and demanded cigarettes. The clerk threw two packs at the suspect, who then fled the store.
The clerk was not injured.
The suspect is described as black, 5 feet, 8 inches, and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jeans, and a black scarf. He was carrying a black handgun, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
