Authorities ID 2 men killed in Napoleon crash

NAPOLEON — Authorities on Monday identified Terry Smiddy and James Sonnenberg as the two Napoleon men killed early Sunday in a crash on State Rt. 108 near the city.

Mr. Smiddy, 55, and Mr. Sonnenberg, 43, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

The victims were traveling in a car at 12:01 a.m. when the vehicle crashed, throwing both men on the road, sheriff’s deputies said. Deputies said it was unclear which man was driving the car.
