ADRIAN -- A man wanted for an armed robbery found refuge in a house Saturday afternoon and has kept authorities at bay for more than seven hours.
There were no reports of injury, but authorities believed the man to be armed and dangerous.
Adrian police closed off West Maumee Street between Scott and Madison streets during the standoff.
Authorities planned to serve the man with felony arrest warrants for the robbery Tuesday of a carryout.
Lenawee County Sheriff Jack Welsh told WTVG-TV, Channel 13, The Blade's media partner, that officers saw the man go into a home in the 1100 block of West Maumee.
"They were gonna try and take him into custody and they did see him enter the house. We know that he's in there. We haven't seen anybody leave," Sheriff Welsh told Channel 13.
At least two others could be in the house, authorities said. The suspect, 25, was reported to be a parole violator from Detroit, Channel 13 reported.
Troopers with the Michigan State Police also were on the scene.
